Riding the Gravy Train: Growth, Gratitude, and Thanksgiving Greetings

This Thanksgiving, we’re looking back with gratitude on a wonderful first year! We’re especially grateful to our very first client in the Hudson Valley, TMI Project, for putting their trust in Ursa Minor Fundraising. The fact that everyone else who’s working with us has come to us through a recommendation is so meaningful. We hope to continue not only winning grants for these incredible organizations, but also doing our part to maintain ethics, camaraderie, and a positive attitude on their teams.

We’re grateful that the four nonprofits we have the privilege of working with are the real deal. Their leaders are passionate visionaries who lead incredibly talented teams that make such an impact on our community. Their missions have become our missions, and their dreams inspire us to get out of bed every morning. We’re grateful to have jobs where we don’t feel like pencil-pushers, wheel-spinners, or worse.

And speaking of jobs! Ursa Minor has grown to a trio this year. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to build a warm and supportive company culture. This year we’ve shared our strengths and worked together to master new aspects of fundraising, such as Google AdWords and pitching business sponsorships in person.

As we hungrily delve into the funding landscape of the Hudson Valley as if it were a big, fluffy pile of mashed potatoes, we look forward to carving out a niche for ourselves as the best grant writers for small and medium-sized nonprofits. So all aboard the gravy train! Let’s turn this attitude of gratitude into money for your programs.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
